The True Cost Film Screening and Discussion
Monday, April 22nd, 2019
Join us on Earth Day for a film screening of The True Cost, a documentary film that examines the process of how our clothes are being made, the people who make them, and the impact the fast fashion industry has on our world.
"The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?" https://truecostmovie.com/about/
This is a collaborative event hosted by Community and Fair Fashion, a UGA student organization that discusses ethics and sustainability in fashion.
There will be time for shopping before the film starts and a discussion after. The $5 entry free can be applied to any clothing purchases during the event! Enjoy refreshments and conversation while learning more about the true costs of this industry and how we can make a difference.
We have limited seating of 25. Tickets are non-refundable.
