February 9- March 2, 2017
Thursdays, 6-9pm

Learn how to drape an entire design from scratch on a mannequin. From the initial draping to creating the pattern from the drape to sewing the final garment, you will learn first hand what it takes to see an idea come to life completely.
This is an intermediate to advanced level class, since we do not teach sewing skills in this course. You should have already completed our Beginners Sewing and Basics of Garment Construction before taking this class, or be at an intermediate skill level.

Please note that supplies are not included in the price of the course. You are responsible for bringing your own sewing machine and supplies. Please make sure your sewing machine is in working order, since we do not have machines for rent.

Please read the full description and confirm the dates before signing up for the course. In the event that you must cancel, we accept cancellations up to one week before the start date of the class and you will receive a refund of 70% of the price of the course. After this time, you forfeit the cost of the class.
We do not schedule makeā€up classes. If you are aware of conflicting dates, please let us know ahead of time and we can let you know if you will still be able to follow the course even if you have to miss a class.

Once payment is accepted, you will receive an email with further instructions and a list of needed supplies from the teacher before the beginning of the course. The email will be sent to the address associated with your PayPal account.

Bio: Brittani Bumb
Meet Brittani! She absolutely loves everything about nature- if she could live entirely outside, she probably would! Ever since she was young, clothing seemed to be an outlet for expressing her personality, and when she learned how to sew, nothing could slow her roll! To her, clothing represents a form of freedom and expression and confidence, all of which Brittani wants other women to feel when they wear her clothing. After earning her BFA in Fashion Design at SCAD, Brittani left for NYC to pursue her dreams in the fashion world. However, it wan't until she spent a week in Costa Rica learning from the native artisans that she discovered that she really wanted her fashion to take an eco-friendly turn. Now, Brittani designs for her own labels, Untitled Thoughts & Untitled Tots, and puts as many eco-friendly practices in place as possible.
